Deciduous is a very chunky, textured, rustic, yarn bowl/ decorator basket featuring autumnal leaves.
It is knitted in the round on circular needles. I used Malabrigo Rasta in fog for the main colour and piedras for the leaf details. If you would like to make different sized bowls you can increase or decrease the amount of cast on stitches by 8 (meterage needed will vary)
Size: 14cm tall, 13cm wide at the opening.
150gm of extra bulky yarn with 82m per 150g for main colour and 50gms of the same yarn in a contrast colour for the leaves
8mm 40cm (16”) circular needles and 10mm 40cm (16”) circular needles. Plus a longer cable of choice for magic loop while doing the decreases
Needle size may vary to achieve correct gauge
8 stitch markers
10 stitches x 15 rounds = 10cm in stockinette in the round lightly blocked, a wash and dry flat is sufficient.
co: Cast on
pm: Place marker
sm: Slip marker
k2tog: knit two stitches together
Lst: Leaf stitch, made of a series of 6 dip stitches worked between two main body stitches (photo instructions included)
