Make 2 gussets
Construction:
I used a slip stitch to join, I opted to sl st with the seam showing on the right side to make a feature of it, highlighting the chunkiness of the Rasta yarn.
Starting with the hexagons sl st them together in a column, figure 1

Join the gusset to the first and second hexagons figure 2

If you are going to line your bag use this shape as a template, cut out your lining material, I suggest felt

Fold the column in half, join the gusset to the second and third, figure 3. Sew in your ends

If lining, sew your lining together, pop your lining inside your bag and attach to the open edge of the bag

I used an awl to poke holes in my felt and used a crochet hook to slip stitch it in place

Attach your chosen handles
